Hi. I am Lisa Wilson, Family Nutrition Coach here in Northern Virginia. Making your own baby food is easier than ever in todays modern conveniences. So, we are going to take you through all the equipment you are going to need. First, we are going to start with what not to use. You want to avoid Silicone Bakeware. You are also going to want to avoid non-stick pans. This one I have had from quite a long time and you can see its already flaking off. You dont want that in babys food. You also want to avoid non-stick baking pans; again, same thing, it can flake off in the babys food and finally, when youre storing baby food, you want to avoid plastic containers, those can leach into babys food, not something that you want. So, what do you use when you are preparing babys food? When you are baking, you can use either stone bakeware, ceramics or glass bakeware is excellent. On the stove top you can use cast iron, this particular one is stainless steel, an excellent choice, one of my favorites; and finally, thats the item we cant live out, of course, is your mini food processor. You can also use a large food processor, but this one is going to be great, and of course, you need a spatula and then me favorite trick of all, the mini food canisters. Now, when you are thinking quantity you want to think about the size of an ice cube, but you dont want to use an ice cube tray, again, its going to leach plastic. So, these canisters are great, they're stainless steel, that the perfect quantity can pop this right into the refrigerator or the freezer or another excellent choice is little urn jar and these are nice too when you are increasing quantity. Then right into the freezer. Now, your equipment checklist is completed.
