Host: Does coffee count as breakfast?
Wendy Reinhardt Kapsak: Well, for those of us who love coffee it seems like it just might have to. Breakfast just means simply breaking the fast from the night before. So that said, is if you start every morning with coffee, consider a low fat or skim milk latte. Once that coffee has had time to kick in, we dont want to skip breakfast entirely. So to keep those hunger pangs at bay and get through your morning, consider the following ideas. Whole grain cereal, some fresh fruit, it could be dry or you can even include milk with that, English muffin with peanut butter, a hard boiled egg, also you can consider some cottage cheese and fruit. These even though they may not be eaten right away when you wake up because you may not be hungry and you are craving that coffee, these particular items can keep hunger at bay.
