Michelle Carhart: Hi! my name is Michelle Carhart of Silver Star Gymnastics and floor extreme choreography. Today I am here to teach you how to choreograph a gymnastics floor routine. During this demonstration, I am going to be showing you with the help of two of my gymnast, how to start choreographing, a floor routine from scratch, which means picking up the music, picking up the routine based on their level, how to start a gymnastics floor routine, how to put all of this together, so that you have a very good, very high scoring floor routine. To choreograph a floor routine, you need a choreograph instructor, you need a gymnast, music, a floor mat and some way to play the floor music. You will also need to make sure for safety precautionary reason that every gymnast warms up at least 20 to 30 minutes before starting any gymnastic activity. I have been a gymnastics instructor and choreographer for more than 20 years, so let's get started.
