Dolores Killette, Vice President and Consumer Advocate at the United States Postal Service demonstrates how to properly pack and ship holiday gifts.

Dolores Killette: My name is Dolores Killette. I am Vice President and Consumer Advocate at the United States Postal Service and today I am going to show you how to properly pack and ship holiday gifts. First I will show you what not to ship, ship packing and sealing tapes, show you how to correctly address gifts including packages going to troops overseas, and help you to choose the right service to make sure your gift is wrapped in time for the holiday.

Some materials you need will include a sturdy box, some packing tape, some cushioning, and a black magic marker or pen. Before we begin, let me tell you a little bit about myself. As consumer advocate I am responsible for ensuring that quick, easy, and convenient service for customers just like you. Prior to this position I served in the Nation's Capital as Postmaster of Washington DC.

The holiday seasons is a busy time of year for everyone including the postal service.
