Treasure Island, Florida is located on Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast and is blessed with miles of gorgeous white sand beaches. Travel reporter, Janice Jones, gives you a great list of things you can do when you’ve had enough beach for a day.

Janice Jones: A serine shoreline dotted with umbrellas, the water shimmering in shades of blue. You may think this is what makes Treasure Island a gem on Floridas coastline, but we found up a bounty of entertainment not to be missed. Here are five fun treasures to discover around Treasure Island. Book a trip with Hubbards Marina they boast a big catch on their fishing trips and we found no fish stories here.

Capt. Mark Hubbard: And we teach him how to fish, we take them out, put them on top of fish, they catch fish.

Speaker: Thats a nice catch, right. Janice Jones: From reeling them in to flaying them dockside, Hubbards does the work. So you have time for photos. These guys landed this nice hall on one of Hubbards private charters. From this picturesque locale you can also rent kayaks and paddle boards, or hop a boat a dolphin watch crews to take in the rest of what Tampa Bay has to offer.

Next step, a Florida temptation, the Cuban sandwich, the Floridian mix the map with this specialty ham, pork, salami, rest to perfection and voted Tampa Bays best Cuban sandwich.

Speaker: Best Cuban sandwich, nothing else going in. Janice Jones: Scoot on over to the Treasure Island beach trial, a paved path beach side and over three-fourths of a mile long. The Trail is popular day and night for folks seeking the best scenery, its all wheels friendly and steers beach goers toward the sandy shore and beach side activities like kayaking and paddle boating.

Another striking spot not to be missed is Johns Pass, a cut formed by a great storm back in the mid 1800s. Today the Pass serves as a gathering place between Madeira Beach to the North and Treasure Island to the South. Its here you will find a haven of coastal activity and the worlds longest water front bar at outdoor friendly, sports loving Gators. Visitor: Beautiful view as you could see, tons of dolphins and a great place to come and hang out.

Janice Jones: They even supply the lenses to catch those great views. Rounding out our list of great discoveries, a place filled with the most intriguing flavors.
