Female Speaker: In Mockingjay-Part 1, the Hunger Games tributes leave the arena for good as war against the Capital heats up, Katniss is still struggling to accept her role as the symbol of resistance. Jennifer Lawrence: She is very reluctant hero, like she is just the whole -- in the first movie she wanted to save her sister and her family and then she just wanted to save herself. And the third part is when she really starts to realize the impact that she has and that she has a choice to lead this fight. I think as an actor, I was excited waking up on a brand new environment in a new world and her home was gone and she just kind of - has to rebuild herself from nothing. Liam Hemsworth: We pick up in District 13 which is secret underground bay considered by all the other districts in the Capital but it was gone, it was bombed earlier and I didn't think it existed anymore. We find Gale and Katniss in this space and it's right after District 12 has been bombed. Katniss has been saved from the arena. The above kind of adjusting to this we have life underground and the different kinds of things that's happening down there. Jennifer Lawrence: And Katniss and Gale have a very rich history that we have never really been able to explore. It's always been more about Katniss and Peeta but there are so much complexities between Katniss and Gale and their relationship and how that changes because before Katniss went into the games, Gale was the only person who really understood her and knew her because they grew up together. After the games when she came out, she and Peeta were the only two people that have experienced that and that can really possibly understand so there is this whole huge part of her life that now only Peeta understands and that Gale never will. 'Talk us through and what really happened on that final and controversial night?
'Josh Hutcherson: Well first off you have to understand that when you are in the games, you only get one wish, it's very costly. Katniss was always really just trying to survive and take care of her family in District 12 and when she gets the 13, she kind of realizes that there is a much bigger plan going on there, there is going to actual government that's kind of forming in 13 and then they need her to be a part of it and to kind of help with these uprisings. And so I think that that's kind of moment she realized that she will fight and make a difference. Jennifer Lawrence: There's something that I really loved about these books when I originally read them is they are great and it's a fantastic story, but it's also a very important story to tell about how powerful just one voice can be. It is always easier to go with the more popular vote and to follow the person in front of you, it's really scary to standup to a voice that's bigger than yours. Josh Hutcherson: But the story is really smart, I think that the places that it goes to see develop from this smallest story about a girl who is fighting to survive in her world to become this huge uprising. it's complicated, it's complicated to find the politics of it all and to find a way to ground in reality in this kind of unrealistic world. Liam Hemsworth: Jen, I mean she is, you couldn't ask for a better person to work with. She is amazingly talented, one of my best friends and we have known each other for few years now and experienced a lot of very pivotal points in both of our lives together and along with Josh and we kind of have a bond that I think where people kind of like to because it's just the things we have been through together.
