Amy Riolo: Hi! I am Amy Riolo with Glory Foods. And today we are making a colorful, glory-full pasta with kale greens. This kid-friendly recipe is an easy way to get through official benefits of kale without having to spend extra time in the kitchen because we are using canned and pre-seasoned kale greens.
First pour 1/4 cup olive oil into a large skillet over medium heat, add one 12 oz package of Italian Style sausage cut into bite-sized pieces and saut until brown, add one 28 oz can seasoned kale greens to the skillet, stirring slowly. While that's cooking I am going to add 6 oz of ziti pasta to a pot of boiling water and cook that for about 3 minutes. Slowly stir the sausage and kale while adding your cooked ziti to the skillet. Stir for 1 minute more, then pour the mixture into a large bowl.
Toss in 3 chopped plum tomatoes and 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella pearls and lastly add salt and pepper to taste and serve. This pasta makes fantastic easy meal and it's a great way to introduce your kids to kale. Enjoy!
