Hi, I am Carrey Nalls, I am at Nalls Produce in Franconia, Virginia and I have been asked to show some of the highlights of how to pick out a pumpkin and how to decorate one for Halloween. We ve got lots of choices; we have got lots of different colors that you pick from and lots of different styles. It s pretty much up to the individual as to what you want to do, but my preference is just pick a pumpkin that I like and that I can work with it, and it s usually different for, everybody has their own personal choice. I have got one here that I have decided to work on and we will show you the steps of how to turn it into a Jack-O'-Lamp. It s basically pretty easy whatever you want to do; it s like a piece of clay, you do whatever you want to. Whether you start off with just a natural pumpkin and figure which way you want to go with it. First thing you have to have is a plan in your mind as to what you want to do with it and first thing you have to do, you got to have a good knife to work with and it s got to be sharp and it s got be somewhat flexible, that makes it a lot easier to play, we ll bend a little bit with you, and we ll clean this one out and go to work and see what we can do with it.
