Hi, my name is Karen Schachter, I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified health and nutrition counselor. I received my Masters in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and I studied Nutrition and Health at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. Currently, in my private practice I work with individuals and families by phone and in person, helping them develop positive relationships with food and with their bodies. I also teach healthy eating classes to young children. In this video, well focus on how to get young children excited about taking care of their bodies through healthy eating. There will be several segments. Well focus on meditation, teaching meditation to young children. I will share with you some fun games that you can play with children to get them thinking about foods and vegetables and other healthy foods. I will share with you some of my favorite recipes to use with children. Finally, we will be doing some simple cooking and preparing foods that involve vegetables and fruits and whole grain that children can enjoy.
