Terry Dean: Hi! I am Terry Dean from Terry Dean Dance Studio. Today we are working with you on Salsa. Today what we are going to do the basic step in the Salsa and we do the basic step in the Salsa, its going to be made of a rocking steps, side steps and tapping steps. So whats going to happen is the man is going to start with his left foot while ladies starts with the right foot and he is going to do forward rocking and she does back. Rock-step then he is going to do a side step to his left and she goes right and then tap his foot, so its kind of go rock-step-step-tap. Then he is going to another rock, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tab, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tab, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, good. So what happens is when we are doing the rocking step, I am going to just demonstrate straight on, I do forward rock, rock-step, side and when I take this side step I am going to tap. This is going to be a quick-quick-slow action. Quick-quick-slow-tap. Then I am going to do a back rock, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick. So when we are doing it we do in quick-quick-slow and then we are tapping on in and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow, good. Now, the basic step is going to rotate to the left. So we are not going to be just standing and facing each other the whole time dancing, we are going to be turning so thats the pattern that we are going to be doing where we are going to gently rotate the body as we do the exact same footwork, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, rock-step-step-tap, turning slightly to the left as I do the basic, rock-step-step-tap, quick-quick-slow, quick-quick-slow-and, quick-quick-slow. So thats your basic Salsa and next we are going to be work on the posture and frame to give Salsa that really Latin look.
