    Joe Newland: My name is Joe Newland. I am a Product Develop Manager for Black & Decker's Outdoor Products division. Today I am going to show you how to select an Electric Hedge Trimmer. In this video series we will cover the things you need to consider before buying your next Hedge Trimmer. First I'll talk about the differences between corded and cordless Electric Trimmers versus Gas Trimmers so that you can select the right tool for your need. Then I'll describe the various tasks that can be performed with your Electric Hedge Trimmer, from light sculpting, small shrubs to heavier cut back of larger and more mature plants. Next, I'll discuss the various safety features that are important for safe and efficient hedge trimming such as blade-guards, lockup switches and cord retainers, when using corded trimmer. And finally, I'll cover some of the additional features to look for when selecting your next Electric Hedge Trimmer, such as ergonomic and ease-of-maintenance.
