Skateboarder Brian Tucci demonstrates how to do a knee slide when skateboarding.

Brian Tucci: Hello, my name is Brian Tucci. We are here at State of Confusion Skate Park. I am here to show you intermediate skateboarding skills. The skill I am going to show you right now is called the knee slide. Knee slide is basically, the safest way to bail a trick. If you have ever seen the X-games and people are flying all around and miss their tricks. Knee slide is probably the safest way that they will get out of their bail. So basically, what you are going to need for knee slide is some sort of transition and also a pair of knee pads. Once you have got all that, sit on the deck of the ramp, basically, anyway this is going to make you feel comfortable. Pretty much, it's just like sliding down a sliding board. You are going to put your backside on the coping and just drop to your knees and slide. Your knee pads will pretty much do all the work for you. You will lean back by them. That's basically it. Yeah, the next skateboarding skill I am going to show is the drop-in.
