com we have a few tips to help keep you feeling your best on your dream trip.
The first step is to get any recommended vaccinations, two months before you jet-off on your adventure. Visit a doctor who has experience in travel health and can recommend vaccinations and medications based on the area you're traveling to.
Buy travel insurance to provide a safety-net for extreme circumstances. The right coverage depends on where you're traveling and what activities you plan to do but a short-term policy can be very helpful in case injury or illness should occur. As with any policy read the fine prints.
Be aware of and prevent food-borne illnesses, eat only well-cooked food that is still hot. Don't consume salads or vegetables and drink bottled water. Also remember to wash your hands regularly.
Packed basic medical supplies, depending on your destination seemingly common items like pain-relievers or clean bandages can be hard to find, so pack things like headache medicine, band-aids and a full supply of prescription medicines in your carryon luggage.
Also bring copies of shot records and keep emergency contact information on hand. Take some time to prepare before you leave so you can enjoy every second of your far flung vacation.
