Meredith Nelson: Hi, I am Meredith Nelson with Prime Time Fitness on Sullivans Island South Carolina. At Prime Time, we offer personal training, small group fitness training, online training and indoor cycling as well as gym membership. Today I am going to teach you how to exercise with a Stability Ball. A Stability Ball is a great piece of equipment to use in your workout. It helps you to develop your strength and core stability. I am going to show you some exercises you can do for your abdominals and back, so that you engage your core musculature. I am also going to show you how to strengthen your upper body using your Stability Ball. We might do some push ups, some other exercises for your chest and back and then I am going to show you how to do some exercises for your lower body with the Stability Ball.
We will get the quads, we will get the hamstring. You'll get a full demonstration of all of these exercises as you learn them. Before you begin exercising, make sure that you got your physician's clearance to do so. If you begin to feel dizzy, nauseous, or have shortness of breath or any chest pain, stop your workout immediately and consult your physician. To give you a little bit of background on myself, I have been certified as the personal trainer since 1995. I have credentials and certification with ACE, AFAA and AFPA.
