Becca Frucht: We are celebrating the ladies over 50 who are fabulous today in Fashion Flash.
Allison McNamara: That's right! Helen Mirren just got slated to be the newest face of L'Oral Paris. She is 69 years old, looks amazing, really takes really good care of her skin. And this may actually surprise you, Helen is not the oldest woman to represent L'Oral Paris; Jane Fonda is 76 and she is a L'Oral lady too.
Lindsay Miller: And Helen is also joining other L'Oral spokeswomen, including Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, Naomi Watts and Eva Longoria.
Becca Frucht: And Helen and Jane are the only ladies in the fierce 50 plus club holding down the fort. Allison McNamara: There are actually many more older women with beauty endorsement deals than you may think. Take a look.
Female Speaker: When it comes to major beauty contracts, age has nothing on these gorgeous women; NARS tapped 68 year old Charlotte Rampling as the face of their audacious makeup line back in February, and recently revealed that Tilda Swinton, who is 53, will front their spring 2015 campaign.
Marc Jacobs snagged American Horror Story's Jessica Lange, who is 65, to star in his ads. In the past Ellen DeGeneres, now 56 years old, was the face of COVERGIRL, and now 53 year old Julianne Moore joined L'Oral at 51, and Andie MacDowell has enjoyed, get this, 25 years with L'Oral. Also, Sharon Stone represented Dior's skin rejuvenating lotion when she was 54.
Becca Frucht: Now, there are a lot of gorgeous gals over 50 that I want to see on some billboard, so let's throw some names out?
Allison McNamara: Emma Thompson, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer.
Becca Frucht: Very good picks! But here is a comment from Julia Roberts that I love. I told Lancme I want to be an aging model.
. They have to keep me for at least five more years, until I am over 50.
Allison McNamara: Easy to say when you are Julia Roberts and look like that.
