In the modeling world, Coco Rocha is known as the queen of posing. So it was no surprise that she teamed up with photographer Steven Sebring to create the new tome Study of Pose, a book featuring photos of Coco striking over 1,000 positions! After chatting with Coco about the publication and the exciting news she’s expecting a baby, we rather unwisely asked Coco to show us how to strike one of her many poses – and hilarity ensued.

Allie Merriam: Supermodel Coco Rocha has conquered the runway, television, social media, and now the world of publishing with a new book. We are at Circuit of Change, an appropriate place to talk about your book, 'Study of Pose'.

    Coca Rocha: Exactly!

Allie Merriam: What inspired this book?

Coca Rocha: I am known for being a model that loves to pose. I give a variety, I have been told, of poses. I am not sure what the other models are doing out there, but when Steven Sebring invented this new kind of concept of looking at art and photography, I was so excited. He told me once in the 90s he really wanted to make this book called 'Study of Pose', but he couldn't find the model. So thanks to not finding the model, we did it. It's coming out. Allie Merriam: You are so excited about the book, congratulations!

    Coca Rocha: Thank you!

Allie Merriam: More congrats are in order because you announced that you are expecting your first child.

    Coca Rocha: Yes.

Allie Merriam: Now, are you nesting yet?

Coca Rocha: I am always nesting, whenever I have the time to myself, when I get to hang out with my husband, we are at home in pajamas watching Netflix and he is working on the computer, but even more so now I have an excuse so I am like, I have got to lie down.

Allie Merriam: Now, one pose which I don't think is in your book happens to be one of my favorite, I am wondering if in your downtime you slouch?

Coca Rocha: Slouch, yes. I mean, right now I am sure you are going to see through the interview I just start to like hunch to a point where I am like, what's happening? Allie Merriam: It's good to know that even the queen of posing slouches so that makes me feel good. Will you show me how to do one or two poses from the book; we have got the book right here?

Coca Rocha: Pick a number. Allie Merriam: Okay, I am seeing 827.

Coca Rocha: 827, you picked like the hardest thing, I think. Can we just look at this, that's the hardest thing. Allie Merriam: How about we just try 27?

Coca Rocha: Okay, let's try 27. Oh, that's easy. How did you know that that was so easy?

Allie Merriam: I will call this like the strong lady pose. Coca Rocha: Okay, I like that name. So strong lady pose, tight arm. Allie Merriam: Well, I think a word to the wise is don't compete in the strong lady pose off with Coco Rocha. Thank you so much for showing me how to do this!

    Coca Rocha: Thank you!

Allie Merriam: 'Study of Pose' is out now.
