    Alexandra VanCleve: Hi! I am Alexandra VanCleve with Capt. Jack's Crab Shack and I am here to show you how to cook and eat Alaskan King Crab. King Crab is most profitable, most prestigious crab in the sea, caught out of the cold icy waters of the Bering Sea. It's known for it's rich red color and it's succulent white tender meat.

    Almost all of the Alaskan King Crab that you will come across is already fully cooked, so you are really just worrying about heating the crab meat, whether it's boiling, steaming, grilling or any kind of other method. Also, the most common types you are going to run into are the full legs and the claws. The meats are a little bit different, so it's up to you and totally personal preference on which one you'd like to eat.

    There are three species of King Crab meat; Red, Blue and Golden. Today we are going to show you how to cook the Blue which is known for it's huge size and massive claws. King Crab can come in various sizes but the larger the leg, the higher the price tag, mainly because of how rare they can be. So, that's a little bit about Alaskan King Crab.
