David Petersam: Hi! I am David Petersam. I am the President of AdmissionsConsultants and now we are going to talk about work experience and letters of reference.
Host: Am I at a disadvantage going straight from undergrad to business school?
David Petersam: For most applicants the answer is a resounding yes, while most schools are much more receptive to applicants straight out of undergraduate than they used to be those students were often at a disadvantage. There is going to be a lot of material covered in the class that because of their lack of significant full time professional work experience they don't have to create this exposure to and they are not going to be able to relate as well to what's being covered in their lectures and classes and case studies as the other applicants who have the couple years of work experience.
