John Basedow: Hi, I am John Basedow and now we are going to focus on the triceps. So we are going to my favorite triceps exercises, the French Press. Now with this exercise, you have to carefully grasp the weight, put it over your head, keep your elbows closed in to your head and pivot only up at the elbows pressing the weight up. Once again, we are not going to fast, we are going to go on a slow controlled manner because you always want to keep that tension on the triceps.
A lot of people want big arms but the thing is everybody thinks of big biceps. They always want to have big Popeye type biceps but the triceps make up over two-thirds of the arms muscle mass. So you really have to train them to have to really developed lean, toned and also big arms. For this exercise, you want to do two sets of 10-15 reps. Keeping those elbows in close to your head and pivoting up. You really feel the burn.
