[Music] Grey Matter: So, I am going to teach you guys how to beat box. The first lesson that I am going to teach you guys how to do is base drum. You start with the word BOOM say the word boom, shorten it, and you get to the base sound and you do louder and louder and then you get[Music]Right now I am going to teach you guys how to do the throat base [Music] So, how to do that? What you are gone to do is you are going to growl I guess. You are going to push it down to your throat, so it will come out over here. So what you are going to do is you are going to go [Music] And then you are going to put it into your throat.
[Music] That was the throat base, now were going to do the inward snare. Keep your teeth about centimeter apart, you use your lips and you put them together and then you suck inwards to your right [Music] Next we will be going on to the outwards snare which is little bit easier than the inwards, bottom lip over, then teeth, then lip. And then what you do is push air out of your mouth to make a snare sound [Music]The high hat sounds like this. [Music]Take it the word tisk and you are going to shorten it. So you have a sound that sounds like [Music]Now in order to get the close high hat you shorten it even further [Music] And the open high hat sounds like this [Music] Which is basically the hit hat, but elongated. And next I am teaching you guys the chewy scratch [Music] So what you do is you start with the word chewy. Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth and the tip of your tongue towards your teeth [Music] So what you do is you go from chewy to chikini chew, but you say it very fast.
[Music] Chikini Chewy [Music]The sound that I am teaching you right now is the vocal scratch. [Music] What you do is you say the word error, put it in a falsetto voice [Music] And then you squeeze your vocal cords, you squeeze your voice box so [Music] The Inward K drums sound like this [Music] Youre going to take the air and you will suck it into the right hand on your mouth. So it goes towards your cheek and then back down into your throat. So in order to do the sound you take your air in.
[Music]And you just do it faster. Now I am going to teach you how to a basic techno beat.
[Music] The techno base drum sounds more or less like a gorilla grunting, close high hat again sounds like this [Music] And open high hat sounds like this.
[Music] And thats your basic techno-beat. I am going to do a beat combining all the different noise that you can do to teach you what you can do later on when you become very acquainted with these noises.
[Music] Every single beat boxer as they are always doing things, every single beat boxer sounds differently, so everyone is going to sound the same, not every beat is going to sound the same. It's up to you and your own creativity. So, go practice and enjoy.
