    Kathrin Rein, German reporter and traveler travels to the Chihuly Collection in St. Petersburg, Fl and discovers the incredible glass sculptures of Dale Chihuly.

    Kathrin Rein: Hi! This is Kathrin Rein here at the Chihuly Collection located in Downtown St. Pete. Chihuly's large scale art form of blowing glass is unique, considering the difficulties of working with glass forms. The Chihuly's collect in St. Petersburg the first permanent display of Dale Chihuly's artwork in the world.

    The space was specifically designed for exhibiting his work such as Ruby Red Icicle Chandelier as follows as other works that have thrilled audiences around the world. Down the road at the Morean Art Centre, check out the glass studio and hot shop. You will find unique glass art created by local and regional artists for sale as well as the Morean Centre for clay which offers classes and the work shops. The Chihuly collection is within walking distance of the heart of St. Petersburg's vibrant tourism district which includes a multitude of Art Galleries, Restaurants and Museums.

    I am here St. Petersburg's museum of history, right across the street from the Chihuly collection is where the world's first commercial airline operated from and today a full size replica is on display. As well as other interesting historically inspired exhibits.
