Florist Gerry Rogers discusses if you need sample centerpiece.

Host: Do I need sample centerpiece?

Gerry Rogers: Some people do feel that they need a sample centerpiece and a short answer to this question is, it depends. If you have a very unique and different color scheme, that you are not quite sure how the flowers are going to come together, it might be wise for you to order a sample centerpiece, so that you can see what those flowers look together. Now one thing to keep in mind when you order a sample centerpiece is that often times it will be at a different time of the year than the time of the year of your wedding. During your consultation your florist will suggest the flowers that look best at the time of year of your wedding. They may not look at that same peak during the time you order your sample centerpiece and some flowers may not simply be available at the time that you ordered the sample.

So, if you do decide that you need or want to order a sample, you have to have some flexibility in mind. There maybe some differences between that sample and the final product.
