Host: Do sports injuries depend on a person's level of advancement?
Jay Dicharry: Injuries tend to come to those who train excessively. Some of the professional athletes who are training 30-40 hours a week and they also tend to come to those of us who aren't. The mom who trains 3-4 hours a week may also have overuse injuries because despite her training regiment she's also has to balance taking care of their kids, going to grocery, tending the house and garden. Injuries evolve and accumulate the stress to the body. It is important to realize, you have to take multi-factual approach, when you look at why someone is having overuse injuries.
