Fitness expert John Basedow explains the benefits of fitness on your overall health and it’s effects on slowing the aging process.

John Basedow: Hey guys! John Basedow here and I want to talk to you today about one of the benefits regarding fitness that people don't usually talk about. I often say, fitness makes you ageless and I honestly believe it, because even if you start a fitness program as late as middle age, it helps to reset the clock, and you guys don't have to go crazy. Even something as simple as walking a half hour to an hour a day, can have an enormous impact on your current and future health. One important thing I've learnt is that practicing a fitness lifestyle early on is the number one preventative measure that you can take to avoid many illnesses now and also in the future. Many of the illnesses that you consider right now inevitable, certain cancers, osteoporosis in women, cholesterol problems, diabetes, heart disease all of these major elements can be lessened an impact, if not avoided totally by simply following a fitness lifestyle earlier on.

Be proactive about it. It's the best thing you can possibly do for yourself and all I am talking about is keeping it moving every day and taking ownership and watching what you eat. Stick with natural choices, avoid things in box, bags or wrappers, processed foods that raise blood sugar and cause all sorts of other problem. Make sure you stick with natural choices and you will be surprised that how much healthier you feel. Remember, with fitness, you are ageless, reset the clock now.
