With over 12 years of stamping and craft experience, I've learned that one thing is for certain...there is always something new to create and share. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I've been recognized as one of the top demonstrators of the year each of my 11 years with the company. This is attributed to my wonderful customers and exciting and talented stamping team. I also give thanks to the stamping industry's fresh art designs and products. Stamping is great for those with little time (you can create something beautiful in minutes!), for those with tight budgets (making cards saves money over buying cards), and for those of all ages. I've enjoyed demonstrating many stamping techniques to thousands of people in workshops, stamp camps, and at several conventions. It is always my desire to show something fun and new. I love to tell new stampers that I am a former tax accountant. Everyone has a level of creativity, some more than others. With stamps, anyone can create gorgeous and simple projects! I am a great model of "if I can do this, so can you." Enjoy and Have Fun!

Christina Crawford: I am Christina Crawford, I am Stampin Up! Demonstrator, I love to wrap gifts in different boxes. Do you have shoe boxes in your house? I am surprised if you don't, but sometimes we buy gifts and you need a box and you don't know where you can get one or you just take whether it's a doll a soft animal for a baby and you just roll it in wrapping paper and you scrunch it like that at the top. But sometimes just using a shoe box, can be the perfect solution for you, the need that you have to give that present in a nice box. So let me show you how you can jazz a nice box that's kind of sturdy. Of course, if it's thin you are going to have a harder time working with it when wrapping your gifts.

Shoe boxes or shoes box and you probably have lots at your house. Very simply, the box and the top are of different sizes but you wrap it the same way, so let me show you how to just do the lid, you will get the idea, how to do the bottom and then I will show you what it looks like all put together. A really good idea is to find some wrapping paper that is double sided because it coordinates and sometimes wrapping paper come in sets of two, when they coordinate and that's a good idea as well but if you could find some wrapping paper that is double sided, you have one roll out while you are doing a project and you can finish it up.

Same as the presents, you are going to take that lid down or over the bottom and you want to make sure that that piece is going to be about a half inch to an inch bigger going off the side and in to your box. If you want, you can hold it and you can just fold it down this way. I love, love, love wrapping paper and I put that up bottle there.

They have lines because it's just so much easier to cut, because now I see exactly where I need to cut and I am going to follow that line, take my wrapping scissors that's how I measure, is it not easy? If it had a jazzy design on it and not stripes, you could still do it. You might just have to eye ball it, you can look for a pattern and then when you have sharp scissors just go straight right up there.

The same thing for the ends, you want that to be about a half inch to an inch too much, fold that over, you can even take your scissors down, pretend there is no lines here and be like, I think I need about that much and then just clip that and follow straight or you can do little clips on both sides and make them meet. That's just another idea, now that if you have that, if you want, you can put a little bit of tape down, this is double sticky tape, it's the snail adhesive and I am just going to may be do about six of them. Little one inch pieces of double sticky strip.

Before you put that down make sure that you got your box where you want it and then this way it's pretty much stuck on the lid, pick it up and it's there. Now it's not moving around. It's like magic. Then, you take your sharp scissors, you just go right up to the edge and you know that you have enough to fold that over, so you are going to use your double sticky tape again and fold it right over, this is the snail adhesive, scotch and 3M make a double sticky tape too but let me tell you this, the tape on the render works so much better so you are not picking off little pieces all the time. This is a dream come true for crafters. It's a great product to have in your house. It's also going to make your wrapping so much easier. Take that tape, bring it down, fold that over and inside. You have got two sides then, that's pretty fast, you can see how easy it is. Now what I do, I don't worry about making little pieces that fold over, I am going to cut these out, these are going to be little squares, you can keep them for gift tags if you want to. You see what I am doing you, I am just matching up my scissors right to the end and I am snipping it off. And you do that for all, all four corners and you just toss them away and then finally you take your tape and I know that people like to be conservative with this tape, don't be, if you really need to get a long piece down.

Fold that over in the inside. If you bought a cup of coffee mugs and you wanted to get a bag of coffee, put some tissue paper in this box, that's a great idea and how you can wrap that and you have coffee lover friends, you know that they will appreciate it and there is the lid and you do the same technique or same type of wrapping to the bottom of the shoe box, this is what you will have. Doesn't look like a shoe box any more, it looks great and when you take the lid off you don't have to rip the wrapping paper.

If the person you give this to, wants to he or she can use it again or they can use it to store things inside, like maybe the Christmas cards they get that year, the birthday cards if you want to do it in birthday wrap, anniversary, you are not really confined to one holiday, you can do these with a lots of different colors. So this was how you can wrap a shoe box. Let me show you how you can gift wrap with some white bags next.
