Greek-Inspired Meatballs

Greek Meatballs (Keftedes) made with lamb and bacon, jalapeño, garlic, shallots, and Italian seasoning are simply delicious!
My Recipe

Yields:
18-20 meatballs
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive or canola oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
1 large shallot, minced
1 pound ground lamb
4 ounces bacon, finely minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp garlic powder
Directions
Heat a small pan over medium heat and add oil and bacon. Cook until crispy.
Add shallot and cook for 1 minute.
Add jalapeño and cook for 1 minute, then let cool.
In a medium bowl, add lamb and remaining spices and mix well.
Form into 1-inch balls and cook over medium heat until browned.
Remove to a baking sheet and bake in a 350F oven 10-15 minutes, or internal temperature reaches 165F.
Enjoy!
Additional Info
Serve warm with toothpicks or skewers with Greej yogurt.
