Holly Clegg: I'm Holly Clegg with Trim and Terrific Cookbook series. We're making a Ham Pot Pie with Georgia Pecan Crust, the ultimate healthy comfort food. All you'll need is 1 tablespoon Canola oil, 1 cup chopped onion, 1/3rd cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup skim milk, 1 1/2 cups fat free chicken broth, 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked lean ham, 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed, 1 (8-ounces) can Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls, and 1/3rd cup chopped Georgia pecans. Let's get started with our filling for a Pot pie. We're going to start with a tablespoon of Canola oil that I've heated and then we're going to take about one cup of onion and put it in and saut it till it gets tender probably will take about 5minutes in all. I smell those sauted onions which means, they are probably tender and they are, now we're going to add a third of cup of flour. Actually what I'm doing is making a white sauce but without all of the fat because remember all my recipes are trim and terrific. You can stir this for about 30 seconds just to get that flour taste out and then we're going to add 2 cups of fat free chicken broth, 1 cup of skim milk and we're going to stir this constantly but you want to bring it to a boil and let it thicken. Now, our white sauce is thickened, its nice and bubbly. So we're going to add the remaining ingredients. So simple for this Pot pie. This is frozen mixed vegetables that you've thawed and I have 2 cups, gives you such a nice assortment and remember when you eat with color, you're eating with nutrition and this is one and a half cups of just chopped, cooked lean ham. I'm going to mix all this together and this is just such scrumptious feeling and you saw how easy it was to do. I'm a crust person. So, now our filling is complete and I'm going to show you how to make a wonderful Georgia Pecan Crust.
