Publisher James Frey discusses measuring the results of your book publishing experiences.

Host: How can I measure the results of my book publishing experiences?

Jim Frey: The major result would be in terms of self satisfaction as seeing your book in a bookstore or procure by buyers at bookstores and getting reviews for that book on some of the internet sites as well as professional reviewers, who do that for a living. You've got to understand that rejection of your work, if you have submitted manuscripts to companies and they are rejecting them is not a reflection of the quality of your writing, the quality of your story or the appearance of the book. There are many self published books, many print-on-demand books that are just as well written as which you will find in your local bookstore, but unfortunately the author does not have a name.
