Host: How do I keep my floral budget under control?
Gerry Rogers: The easiest way to keep your floral budget under control is to limit the number of guests you invite to your wedding. It's maybe not the first answer that you think of, but it is the easiest way to control how much you are ultimately going to spend on flowers? The bigger your wedding, the more tables you have, the more table centerpieces you are going to need. Similarly control your wedding party. The more Bridesmaids you have, the more Bridesmaids bouquets you will need, the more expensive it's going to get. You also might be judicious about where you choose to put certain things. For example, you may love the look of tall dramatic arrangements but they are generally more expensive. So, putting one really noticeable striking arrangement like that, on your Place Card Table, the first thing your guest see, where they will spend a little time, picking up their card to figure out their tables seating, that maybe where you put that kind of thing as opposed to on ten of your tables, especially if it's out of your budget. You also just want to be judicious about how much you add to different places because it's your iterative cost that always blows the budget.
