Host: How does socializing reduce stress?
Dava Money: Research has shown that socializing is a very important factor in reducing stress. If we have a healthy and supportive network of friends and family, then that increases our longevity, increases our health and reduces our stress level. We are social animals and we need to be able to play with people, to converse with people, spend meaningful time with people. We also need touch and we can receive that in our healthy families.
