Dr. Diana Zuckerman: My name is Dr. Diana Zuckerman. I am President of the National Research Center for Women and Families and today, we are going to talk about balancing work and family. Before we get started let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am trained as a Psychologist and as an expert in public health and the National Research Center for Women and Families focuses on all the issues that are facing women and families today. In addition to work and family, health and safety issues are our main focus. So, let's get started and today, we are going to just talk about balancing work and family.
Host: Is it possible to truly balance work and childcare?
Dr. Diana Zuckerman: Balancing work and childcare is more like a juggling act. It's more like juggling than actually balancing. Sometimes, one thing is more important than other sometimes one becomes more urgent. So it really is more of a juggling act. You can't truly balance it, but you can juggle it so that it works.
