Ria Moore Benedict: Hi! I am Ria Moore Benedict and Im from the Washington DC area. I am a formal lawyer who started a company called I-Love-Me, LLC. Today were going to talk about the top 10 things that you can do to improve your life.
Number ten; focus on your physical health. You should get plenty of rest; you should drink lots of water stay hydrated your body needs that make good food choice, eat healthy foods and you should exercises all of these things are very critical.
Number nine; get involved in activities that make you feel good. Well the first thing you need to do is ask yourself what youre interested in. Not what youre interested in doing, but just generally what your interested in, because often times the activities will lend themselves to that.
Number eight, incorporate at least one activity that helps you feel centered or grounded, the idea is that you want to engage yourself in activities that help you to focus on you, walking, yoga or just exercising in general.
Number seven, find balance between your work life and your personal life, start marking on your calendar those activities to make sure that you have some balance.
Number six, smile and compliment others, it's something again that makes your feel good about yourself. So youre giving something to someone else but you are also reflecting how you feel about yourself inside as well.
Number five, dont sweat the small stuff. The question that I always ask myself or I ask other people when an issue arises is whether or not someone is going to get hurt, if the answer is no, than it really is something small.
Number four, do one thing for yourself everyday it can be as large or small as you wanted to be, it can be buying that new car which you always wanted taking that vacation that you have wanted or it can be something really small, you could sleep in, cook a healthy meal instead of just any old thing you build, make sure its a healthy one, one its good for you.
Number three, show gratitude for everything in your life. When you get up in the morning be grateful for the fact that you get up everyday and that youre able to go to a job or that you have to house over your head, it's the little things that you need to be grateful for.
Number two; know who you are and learn to like that person, the way you treat yourself is the way other people are going to treat you. Say positive affirmations to yourself look yourself in the mirror and say I love you.
And the number one thing that you can do to take care of yourself better is practice for giving others. When you have a resentment or frustration or anger toward someone else, youre only hurting you. So you want to be able to react with love and with kindness toward someone else and just except that thats where they maybe, but that doesnt mean it has to impact my life in a negative way.
