Alexandra VanCleve: Hi! I'm Ale VanCleve and we're here at Capt. Jack's Crab Shack in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Today I'm going to show you how to cook and eat Alaskan King Crabs. In this series, I'm going to talk a little bit about Alaskan King Crab information, how to cook them, in our case, steamy and also the good part, eating them. The tools I will be using today to cook the Alaskan King Crab are an electric steamer, tongs, a terry cloth for safety. And the tools that we'll be using today to eat the Alaskan King Crab are drawn butter, old bay, lemon, a seafood cracker and a crabinator. There are a couple safety concerns when handling the Alaskan King Crab. The big leg is going to have a couple spines on them, so you want to be careful when handling them. Also if you thought too much to drink, please be careful of the electric steamer as it is boiling water. Before I begin, let me tell me tell you a little bit about Capt. Jack's Crab Shack. We're voted best seafood in our area two years in a row. We're very pride ourselves on, If it swims or crawls, we sell it all. Also we're voted AT&T's top ten small business of the year for 2009. So let's get started, cooking and eating Alaskan King Crab.
