Skateboarder Brian Tucci demonstrates how to do a grind on a skateboard.

Brian Tucci: Hi, my name is Brian Tucci. We are at State of Confusion Skate Park. I am showing you some intermediate skateboard skills. We are going to continue on and I am going to show you the Grind. The grind is basically very similar to the axle I showed you at the stall, only now you are going to be moving a little bit a and it's going to slide you right across this coping here. Grind is definitely an important skill to learn here. What you are going to want to do is have a good grasp of the axle stall to see if you can feel comfortable being on top of the lip. Also, we know once you have got a firm grasp of that you are going to come up the ramp just like you would do a fifty-fifty stall, but you are going to travel at a slight angle. As soon as you get up to the lip, you are going to level your board off and you are the o start to grind. Basically, you are going to re-enter the ramp. Now when you feel comfortable of coming in, now you are going to re-enter the ramp and roll down just as you would out of an axle stall. So that's basically the grind. There are a number of different variations to this trick. It can be done front side and back side. Also, you can do Nose versions of both of those as well. Alright and so the next skateboarding skill I am going to show you is the Air.
