Dusty Wissmath, director of Dusty Wissmath’s Fly Fishing School and Guide Service based at Whitetail Resort, discusses fly fishing.

Dusty Wissmath: Hi my name is Dusty Wissmath, I am the director of Dusty Wissmath's Fly Fishing School and Guide Service that's based here at the Whitetail Resort. Today, I am going to talk about fly fishing. We are going to talk about the basic mechanics of fishing, the equipment that you need, the different type of flies and the different types casts that you use under different conditions. There are couple of safety concerns to keep in mind. One is the fact that when you are actually fishing, you are going to be using a sharp pluck, so eye protection is good. On sunny days, you need sunscreen and of course you are going to be moving around moving water. My experience as a fly fisherman started about 16 years ago as an instructor. I have taught at, LLB in fly fishing school in Virginia. Also I still teach at Joan Wulff Fly Fishing School in New York and I am the member of the Board Of Governors of Federation Of Fly Fishers Guides Association and a certified fly fishing instructor with the federation of fly fishers. So let's get started.
