Stephanie Barlow: Hi! I am Stephanie Barlow with the National Watermelon Promotion Board. I am going to show you how to make some fantastic kids recipes featuring watermelon.
This will be a healthy twist on a classic favorite called a watermelon banana split and all you need to get started is a half of watermelon, an ice cream scoop, bananas and toppings of your choice. I have got some fresh blueberries, sliced strawberries, some chunked up fresh pineapple, caramel sauce, some crunchy nuts, some whip topping and a little watermelon ball instead of that maraschino cherry. Are you ready to get started? Take your ice cream scoop and go straight into the heart of that watermelon. And then we'll do our bananas on the side and now we top with our choices. We'll do some blueberries, some strawberries, little fresh pineapple get some bright color back in there. May be you want to use some chocolate sauce that's an option too, I like caramel best.
All right! On to the whip topping, sprinkle of honey toasted almonds and a cherry on top and there you have your watermelon banana split. Enjoy!
