Amy Riolo: Want something to cool you off this summer without the extra calories? This delicious raspberry health smoothie is packed with vitamins, nutrients, and minerals, so you won't have to worry.
We will start by slicing a very ripe banana into our blender. We will combine that with a cup of ice, a cup of French vanilla yogurt, and two tablespoons of honey. Now, we will mix everything on high speed until blended.
Keep in mind that the riper the bananas are, the sweeter they will be. So that when you add them into the recipe, it makes it possible to use less honey.
Now, I am going to add in a cup of raspberries, and two tablespoons of flaxseed. Flaxseeds are full of healthy nutrients which are great for skin, hair, and nails as well as for preventing cancer. We will blend these together for two minutes or until the mixture gets frothy.
Lastly, we can pour our smoothie right into our glass and enjoy it cold. Here we have our sweet raspberry health smoothie; a delicious breakfast or snack for any day of the week. Enjoy!
