Sherry Tyra: It's fun to capture the spirit of the Halloween season, and one of the ways to do so inside your home is to create a vignette on your buffet or entry room table.
First a table runner will help bring in a pop of seasonal color. Then a huge bowl of candy is a must, nothing speaks of Halloween more than the goodies you hand out to the visiting trick-or-treaters.
Candy corn is a wonderful inexpensive way to decorate too. Fill glass containers with candles and candy corn and you have an instant center piece. Here we have simply taken some dry branches, glued candy corn on to them and place them in an earn I found at a second hand shop.
Add another element by creating a witches potion corner. Look for free Halloween labels online, print them up and use a glue stick to apply them to some fun antique looking containers. Use lights or candles to create a more dramatic atmosphere. This lid owl is made by simply hot gluing craft paper to an inexpensive paper lantern.
Seasonal decorating doesn't have to expensive, just be creative and have fun. Happy Halloween!
