    Amy Riolo: Nothing beats a homemade cobbler in berry season. If you've never made one before, you won't believe how easy and inexpensive it is.

    Let's begin by combining four cups of mixed fresh berries. Today I'm using blackberries, raspberries and blueberries, but you can use whatever you like. We are going to combine these with a half a cup of sugar. Now we will work on the batter, I am going to add the remaining cup of sugar and a cup of flour, the teaspoon of cinnamon, two teaspoons of baking powder, half of a teaspoon of salt. Just whisk these altogether.

    I am going to add in the grated zest of one lemon. You just want a freshly grate, you could also do orange or lime if you like. I am going to whisk in three quarters of a cup of milk. This is what the consistency is that you're looking for. I have a half a cup of melted butter which I am going to pour right into my baking pan. I'll just turn the pan so that this is coated evenly.

    Then I'll top with my batter. We'll just spread the batter right across the bottom. I'll go ahead and sprinkle my berries right on the top. Now we are going to bake the cobbler at 325 for 50 to 60 minutes. So our mixed berry cobbler has been in the oven for about an hour and it's just finished baking.
