Stephanie Barlow for the National Watermelon Promotion Board shows you how to have fun with fruit and make a simple yet delicious watermelon tart.

Stephanie Barlow: Hi! I am Stephanie Barlow from the National Watermelon Promotion Board and I am here to tell you that you can enjoy watermelon all year long. Every season there is a reason to enjoy watermelon and in the sprint time we love to celebrate with our family. So why not serve up some watermelon tart at your Easter Party?

To get started you just simply need some prepared tart shells. You can find these pretty often in your grocery stores, bakery, or in the baking aisle. You could even use prepared pie shells or even shortbread rounds. Of course some diced watermelon, this is about three cups. We have got some prepared vanilla pudding, just grab it from the refrigerator section if you want, we got our whipped topping, sliced almonds, and of course a little fresh mint for pop of color.

All you do to prepare it, very easy. Take a nice spoonful of pudding at a time. Let's take about two heaping tablespoons for each and next, we go with a dollop of whipped cream, again be gentle. This is desert after all. Now as much watermelon as you like, the longer that stays within your pie crusts, some toasted almonds for a little crunch, a little pop of color the mint leaf and now you have a healthy watermelon desert. Enjoy!
