Hi, my name is Lindsey Lampert, I am with Northern Virginia Volleyball Association, I played volleyball at the University of San Diego and I have coach at both the high school and club levels. Volleyball has been my passion for over 20 years and today I am going to show you how to play volleyball.
I am going to go over passing, setting, hitting, serving and digging. I will go over the main components of the sport and teach you the skills to help you be on your way to mastering the game of volleyball. Before we get started, I would like to introduce Nicole and Lindsey, my two star volleyball players and they are going to help me demonstrate the skills as well as proper attire. As you can see they are wearing T-shirts and spandex shorts. If we are playing indoors today, shoes would be required, but for outdoor volleyball, bare feet are okay.
You will need a volleyball and regulation volleyball net to get started. Before we begin, remember safety comes first and if someone is injured while playing volleyball, call a certified trainer or a doctor to assist. I think we are about ready to begin, so let us play some volleyball.
