Tyson Boyer: Hi! I am Tyson Boyer with Dill Air Controls. Today I am going to show you how to install service kit on a fixed angle clamp-in tire pressure monitoring valves stem.

The following procedure is conducted after the tire has been dismounted from the wheel. And the valve stem in sensor are remove from the wheel. Using the grommet tool remove the rubber grommet from the sensors valves stem. Visually inspect the valve stem and sensor for corrosion, cracks or evidence that may require complete valve stem or sensor replacement.

Next, select the appropriate replacement service kit for the application from your data look up or by looking online. Then install the rubber grommet on the valve stem applying even pressure downward with grommet tool. Now install the hex nut and tighten using a calibrated torque wrench to the appropriate specification as displayed on the service kit package. Next install the new valve core with the valve core torque tool insuring the tool clicks. And finally air the tire up to the correct pressure and then finger tighten the rubber seal valve cap. Insure there are no leaks around the stem. That's how you install a service kit on a fixed angle tire pressure sensor.
