Tyson Boyer with Dill Air Controls demonstrates how to install and remove an adjustable angle clamp-in tire pressure monitoring valve stem.

Tyson Boyer: Hi! I am Tyson Boyer with Dill Air Controls. Today I am going to demonstrate how to install a service kit on an adjustable angle clamp-in tire pressure monitoring valve stem.

The following procedure is conducted after the tire has been dismounted from the wheel and the valve stem and sensor are remove from the wheel. Using the grommet tool remove the rubber grommet from the sensor valve stem. Visually inspect the valves stem sensor for corrosion, cracks or evidence that may require complete valve stem or sensor replacement.

Next, select the appropriate replacement service kit for the application from your data look up resource or by looking online. Remember some adjustable angle sensor service kits come of the new stem in the replacement package. Install the rubber grommet on the valve stem applying even pressure down word with grommet tool. Be sure to position the sensor to the angle of wheel to insure a flush feet. Now install the hex nut and tide using a calibrated torque wrench to the appropriate specification as displayed on the service kit package. Next install the new valve core with the valve core torque tool insuring the tool clicks. And finally air the tire up to the correct pressure and then finger tighten the rubber seal valve cap. Insure there are no leaks around the stem. That's how to install a service kit on an adjustable angle tire pressure sensor.
