Expert crappie guide Chris Bullock shows us how to use slip corks around bridge pilings.

Chris Bullock: Hi! I am Chris Bullock, expert Crappie guide, here on beautiful Kerr Lake otherwise known as Buggs Island Reservoir. What do I want to talk to you about today is use the slip corks over to bridge pilings. In the summer or the winter you want to plan a bridge piling that is on a main channel that has deeper water. Spring and fall, some of the creek bridge piling will be the best option.

Once you've selected your bridge piling you want to scan it with your electronics. The site finder units are the best for doing this. You can scan along and draw the pilings and you actually see which pilings the fish are on. If you only use slip corks and there's more than one person in the boat, set your slip corks at different depths. Everyone should try at different depths until the most productive depth has been established. And that's how you use slip corks over to bridge pilings.
