Visnja Kosanovic: Hi, my name is Visnja at the International School of Music. I would like to talk to you about how to get the sound on the head-joint of the flute. To get the sound, we need the proper position of the lips, we call that embrasure and that is you put your lips together and make your corner of your lips little firm and like in a gentle smile. Then you create the little hole between your lips, place the edge of the mouthpiece that you feel that edge on your lower lip and blow it. You can also close the hole and blow it and have a little deeper sound.

Now, we will talk about getting sound on the whole flute.
