Ivy Boyd: Holidays are the ideal time to amp up your makeup routine and go for the gold. A gold smokey eyelid is perfect for any holiday party. By applying a gold cream shadow first, I am creating a base for the patter shadow. I am topping that with the loose gold pigment pressing it from the lash line up to the crease and using a tissue to catch all that fallout.
A matte black is going to really create that smokey look. Place it on the outer corner and then use a blending brush to blend it inwards and into the crease. I'm taking the same gold pigment and placing it on the inner corner of the eye to catch the light. Using the matte black, I am smudging it along the lower lash line with a smudge brush.
For even more drama, I am using a black liquid liner on the top lash line creating a very winged out cat eye shape. Apply mascara to top and bottom lashes starting with the bottom lashes first.
As always, curve your lashes before you put on fall slashes to help them blend in better. Apply a thin line of glue to strip of dramatic fall slashes and place them as close to your lashes as possible. Top off your look with a berry pink lip color and add a little extra shine by topping that with a shimmery gloss.
Touchup your blush to balance out the lips and the cheeks, and now you're ready for the night.
