Ed Mattern with Interstate Worldwide Relocation talks about how to plan for your move. This video will focus on what you need to know one week prior to your move.

Ed Mattern: Hi! I am Ed Mattern with Interstate Worldwide Relocation. Today we are talking to you about how to plan for a move. Now we are going to tell you what you need to know one week prior to your move. First you want to identity a room where you can place items that are not to be relocated to prevent their accidental relocation. These items will include legal documents, such as wills, passports, and medications. The room that you are choosing should be a bathroom, a closet, or other room, that is out of the way of the common pathway. If you have children or pets, you want to prearrange for a sitter. The sitter should plan on picking the children or pets up the night before or the morning of your move. You also want to call your company and verify the service dates, that all the packing and moving are going to take place on the dates that you have agreed to. You also want to be sure that you have the correct contact information for the company. Up next, we are going to tell you everything that you need to know about the day of your move.
