Susan Battle: Hello! I am Susan Battle, owner of The Point of it All. This video is how to needlepoint and in this segment, I will be showing you some other stitches that you might want to learn later.
Here is an example of some other stitches that you might want to learn as you become more advance needle pointer. Right here, this stitch is called Willow. This is the Basket-weave and it's a relative of the Continental Stitch you learned today. This is the Diamond Pavilion or Pavilion Diamond, either one. This is a Slanted Gobelin with a line of metallic and then here I am just getting started, but this is going to be the Vertical Jacquard and then these patterns are repeated in the remaining squares.
This stitch is called the Diagonal Mosaic and it is a super stitch for backgrounds because you can move really quickly and get a lot of canvas covered fast and there are just so many other possibilities of stitches. It's a lot of fun and I encourage you to get started stitching. Remember, there are no needlepoint police, there are no rules, just have fun and my best advice to you is Happy Stitching.
