Elaine Swann: Hi! I am Elaine Swann with Everyday Style. In this video, we're discussing polite ways to talk about money. Now in this clip, we're going talk about some subjects that are perfectly fine for you to discuss with people you know well.
First of all, the cost of living even ground. It's something that's affecting all of us and speaking of that, the housing market, no problem there. No problem to discuss how it's affecting one person or another or one part of the country or another, that's something that's perfectly fine to discuss without getting too much into a person's business.
Another area is student tuition. We may have a high-schooler that's getting ready to go off to college and there is nothing wrong with asking an individual, kind of how things are going, how it's affecting them, those are areas that are fine because they can give you information that can probably help another individual.
And finally, one area that's perfectly fine, technology. We are all using it, we've got cell phones and PDA's and all sorts of devices, so asking an individual what they pay for service fees because perhaps you are going to switch over to something else. There is nothing wrong with that, we all have to try to help each other in some way from recession.
Well, those are some subjects that are perfectly fine to talk about, when it comes to money. In our next segment, we're going to discuss some things that you should do to mind you money manners.
