    Instead of a pumpkin spice latte, how about a pumpkin spice cocktail? Pumpkin syrup, bourbon, and ginger beer combine for a sparkling cocktail that will keep your spirits high during the holiday season.

    Becca Frucht: Pumpkin spice is everywhere including behind the bar and here to show us how to make a pumpkin spice sparkler is lifestyle reporter Brandi Milloy. Brandi Milloy: I love the way you say that. Becca Frucht: I know, I got excited. Brandi Milloy: It's not just about pumpkin spice. We have seen a huge trend in Whisky craft cocktails. Thanks to Don Draper, but move over mad man because this delicious seasonal cocktail is just as much fun for the ladies. Becca Frucht: Right! Ladies get into whisky, so what do we need for this cocktail? Brandi Milloy: All right! So into an ice filled shaker, it starts with one and half ounces of whisky. Now we are using Slow Hand. This is a splurge because it's a really beautiful spirit to drink on its own that also makes for fantastic cocktails. Becca Frucht: And it's organic as well. Brandi Milloy: It's so good. Next I am just going to add the juice of half a lemon and then if you could just help me with a little bit of syrup we just need a quarter ounce. Becca Frucht: This smells divine. Brandi Milloy: I know you are going to like that. Becca Frucht: I mean ridiculous, where did you get it? Brandi Milloy: Okay so actually I made this at home but I promise it's not intermediating, it's so simple to make, it's just pumpkin puree, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and water. Heat it until it's melted and smooth and this is honestly one of the my favorite fall recipe tips, because you can use it for other things like pumpkin spice lattes or other seasonal treats like pancakes and ice-cream. I mean I really get excited about it. Becca Frucht: This is so aromatic and I honestly think you just straight chuck it. You know what I mean. Brandi Milloy: And it taste so much better than the store brought stuff. Becca Frucht: Just take it down. Brandi Milloy: Now just give it a full shake and then strain it into our Collins glass that's already filled with more ice and Becca if you could help me, I am going to have you top it off with some ginger beer. Becca Frucht: Every ingredient in this cocktail is something that I absolutely is obsessed over. Brandi Milloy: And my garnishes are so amazing, just a little candy ginger and a little sage leaf, how false speared is that? Becca Frucht: This is beautiful, now when would you serve this? Brandi Milloy: Oh, my gosh! Well, I can't get enough of pumpkin spice flavor. So you can serve this throughout fall and winter for just a nice refreshing spicy drink. Becca Frucht: I am so excited, winter is coming and it's not just because of Game of Thrones, it's because of this cocktail. Brandi Milloy: I know you are going to love it. Becca Frucht: Oh man! This is delectable. Honestly, I don't even care when spring comes because we can just drink this all the time. It will be perfect! Brandi Milloy: Of course, I love it.
